Since the inaugural 3P Arctic event in 2009, the Polar PetroleumPotential Conference & Exhibition has focused on the petroleum geologyof the Circum-Arctic basins. By insuring that the event was led by thescience and exploration considerations and not the politics, it has builtan enviable reputation as the leading geoscientific event for thisdemanding and icy region.

With the combined efforts of the AAPG, NGS and OSEG, 3P Arctic 2013 willstage an exciting and dynamic conference that encourages the open sharingof knowledge. While technology advances and climatic changes are easingaccess to the Arctic basins, it is also clear that the industry will benefit fromcooperating in its efforts to explore this demanding region.

Facilitatingnetworking and the development of friendships have been a feature of theprevious two editions of the event (held in Moscow and Halifax), and this willalso be the aim in the upcoming event.

The short courses, oral sessions and poster presentations will be focused onArctic geoscience and engineering technologies.
